Who Am I

First of all, let me tell who I am not. I’m not a medical doctor, dietician, nutritionist, or a personal trainer. I’m a woman who is passionate about health and wellness with a desire to become the best version of myself.

In September of 2015, I made a commitment to myself to lose weight and embrace a healthy lifestyle. Through the following posts, I’ll explain how I lost 120lbs and kept it off.

It started in 1997, my senior year of high school, when I gave myself to God. Now, I know what you’re thinking this is some religious or political post, but let me assure you, it’s not. However, my relationship with God is an integral part of who I am, which motivates me to become all that I can be and is intertwined in my personal development. Next to God are my children. They’re my reasons for change. God put me in charge of raising two children who are now young adults. With the responsibility of being a full-time single mom, it was a desire, and I saw the importance for me to lead by example.

Through this blog, I want to inspire people that change, and a healthy life are possible.

I want my readers from all walks of life to believe in themselves, to know that they’re worthy and deserving to be healthy, to feel empowered, to take control of their health and overall lives, and to know they don’t have to succumb to the grim medical reports that they can turn their health around for good!
